Anonymous said: When will you notify people whose work has been selected? And I just realized I submitted my writing piece in Arial not Times New Roman. Will this affect my chances?
Sending a submission in the wrong font will not impact the likelihood of your submission being accepted. We are all human and we all make mistakes. However, by not adhering to the submission guidelines more work is created for the editors. We hope to email all of the authors on February 15th with a letter of rejection or acceptance. As we are a quarterly journal our turn around time is expedited and we hope to let authors know within ten days of the close of submissions. To be fair we do not make any final decisions on who will be printed in the magazine until we have read all work submitted to Prospective. On a side note, most journals will leave you in the dark anywhere from three months to a year, and many publications will not notify you if your work has been rejected. Please be patient while we assess your work. Thank you for showing interest in our magazine and thank you for sharing your work with us.
